Jordan is an artist / musician based in Auckland, New Zealand.

“In May 2009 I moved up to Auckland from my home town of new Plymouth. I did this determined to gain success and recognition through my art and music and explore other interest such as acting and modeling. It has been an erratic ride, adjusting to, and finding my own path in the Auckland scene. Making this move has taken me out of my comfort zone, forcing me to explore different ideas, techniques and mediums within my creativity.”

Jordan on Painting…
“A lot of my paintings are focused on random moments in time, capturing the beauty in the ordinary. An artist that has a huge influence on my work is German artist Gerhard Richter who believed that paintings should focus on the image rather than the reference, the visual rather than the statement.”

Music...
“Without music, I couldn’t paint. I gain more inspiration from music than any other source. Music has always been an important part of my life; I plan to succeed as a musician as much as I do a painter.”

Film...
“Whether it is in front or behind the camera, I have found a new love as an artist. Film has shown me a new and exciting way to express my creativity. I have recently finished my first music video, which was created with a good friend and director, Chris Campbell. I am also experimenting and finding ways to merge film and painting together, this is shown in my paintings that can be viewed using anaglyph (3d) glasses.”
